Autism Awareness Week!

Don’t forget it’s  Autism Awareness from:

27th March- 2nd April

Did you know 1 in 100 people in the UK have autism?

Help raise awareness and help people understand autism and create an autism friendly environment!

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people and the world around them. Find further detail on http://www.autism.org.

Speech and Language Therapists help children, young people and adults with autism by helping them develop their attention and listening skills, language skills, social skills and help support their behaviour and environment by putting relevant strategies in place.

We work in a range of settings to help support people with autism which include their home setting, nurseries, children centres, clinics, schools, colleges and help support the transition to their work place.

Help us raise awareness by different ways. The National Autistic Society have so many suggestions. Visit http://www.autism.org.uk for details.
